About the founder of
OCean Reign JANITORIAL SERVICES
My name is Shonette Brown and I am the CEO of Ocean Reign Janitorial Services.
The inception of my company is rooted in a deeply personal experience that forever changed my life. When my two-month-old son tragically passed away, I was given just five days of Paid Time Off (PTO) to grieve and recover.

As anyone who has experienced such a profound loss can imagine, five days was woefully inadequate. By the end of this period, I was nowhere near ready to return to the hustle and bustle of daily life. I was still in the depths of my grief, and the thought of seeing people again, let alone returning to work, was overwhelming. It was at this moment that I realized that I needed a change.

I wanted to create an environment that was more understanding, compassionate, and flexible - something that I felt was sorely missing from my own experience.

This was the catalyst for me to start my own cleaning company. I aspired to build a business that not only provided an essential service to the community but also cared for its employees in a way that I felt was lacking in my previous work.

I wanted to create a company that understood that life happens and that people go through hardships and need more than just a few days to get back on their feet. In essence, my company was born out of a personal tragedy, but it's a testament to resilience and the desire to bring about positive change.
